A:  Wet clean is a professional garment cleaning technique that uses detergents and water. Driven by concerns about the toxicity of dry cleaning solvents, recent advances in both wet cleaning technology and garment care have revived wet cleaning as a safe alternative to dry cleaning. (As stated by EPA – Environmental Protection Agency in their website www.epa.gov)

A:  Wet cleaning is a professional nontoxic method of cleaning clothes. Unlike conventional dry cleaning, which uses chemical solvents to clean clothes, wet cleaning technologies are water based. Back at 1930s and 1940s, wet cleaning was used mostly on natural fiber garments while dry cleaning solvents were used to clean the rest.

Only recently people found out that dry cleaning produces residue from the solvents that will be absorb to our body system through our skin or inhaled through the breathing. And if we are exposed to this residue in a great amount of it and in the long term, it can cause skin irritation and other health problem such as cancer, miscarriage, or organ failure.
Because of that health risk, people nowadays are prefer of using wet cleaning rather than dry cleaning. D2C® Laundry & Wet Clean are committed in using only soap, detergents, and other ingredients with wet cleaning method that is proven to be safe for human and also environmental friendly.

CPW is a certification given to the laundry service that has passed the competency test. All the applicants must demonstrate their knowledge of professional wet cleaning practices, fibers and fabrics, and customer service as it relates to this new technology.
